Your Nervous System and your Health

The nervous system is the information super-highway of the body. You can thank your nervous system for:

keeping your heart beating

the automatic blinking of your eyes

the in & out breathing of your lungs

digesting your lunch

the twitch when a mosquito lands on your skin

and many vital functions we take for granted...

In fact, without the nervous system working properly, your immune system doesn’t work properly – which makes it much harder to live a happy, healthy life.

The central part of your nervous system lives in your skull and spine. The skull and spine are encased in bone, but the individual vertebral segments can get misaligned. This can happen during:

a tough birth delivery

a fall from a tree or bicycle

a car accident

repetitive micro-trauma

Repetitive micro-trauma is when the effects of years of physical neglect or abuse are suddenly triggered by a seemingly simple action: “All I did was bend over to tie my shoe and my back went out… “.

We don’t want you to be an accident waiting to happen. That’s why keeping your spine free of misalignment is important, and why chiropractic care can improve the quality of your life.

The bottom line? If your nervous system is free to do its job fully, you’re free to live your life and enjoy it.
